API Overview

The Onafriq APIs are organized into the following categories:

1. Payouts - Onafriq's primary APIs for initiating customer payouts.
2. Payins - Enables the receipt of payments from customers.
3. B2B VAS - Provide a platform for selling various products in Nigeria through Onafriq's network of in-field agents.

Payouts

Onafriq provides a Payment Hub that establishes connections with banks, mobile network operators, and agent networks throughout Africa, referred to as our Receiving Partners.

Customers integrate with Onafriq's Payouts product to gain access to Onafriq's Receiving Partners.

Payouts facilitate direct connections to the Payment Hub and consist of the following:

1. Asynchronous Payouts
   It is designed for Money Transfer Organizations (MTOs) and various disbursement partner types.

2. Asynchronous Webhooks
   It collaborates with the Asynchronous Payments API to deliver Instant Payment Notifications (IPNs).

3. Synchronous Payouts
   This API is custom-built for Mobile Network Operators (MNOs)

4. Synchronous Bank Transfers
   This API enables payouts to banks.

5. Get Rates
   This API grants programmatic access to Onafriq's daily foreign exchange rates.

The Onafriq Portal

What's the Onafriq Portal?

• The Onafriq Portal is an online platform that enables users to access its services without requiring any technical integration.

• However, if you wish to connect directly to the Onafriq Hub, a software engineer will be needed to perform the integration.

• Furthermore, the Portal offers a Payouts API for disbursing funds to customers. Users have the option to utilize either the Portal Payments API or the Asynchronous and Synchronous Payments APIs when sending payments through the portal.

The Onafriq Portal offers a web-based platform enabling users to send and receive payments through Onafriq.

The Enterprise Platform supplies APIs for accessing Onafriq's services, such as:

1. Payins
   For receiving funds from customers and obtaining information on previously collected funds.
2. Contacts APIs
   For adding or accessing customer information.
3. Other data access APIs
   For retrieving additional data within your Onafriq account, such as Transactions, Currencies, Networks, Banks, Events, and more.
