Sync Payouts

We typically recommend our Async Payouts for most use cases, but our Sync Payouts product is available for cases where the partner requires a synchronous API.

Mobile Network Operator (MNO) partners, in particular, can use this API to connect to the Onafriq Hub to collect and disburse payments to/from other Hub partners.

The API is structured into two sections, depending on payment type:

Money remittance
Covering money transfers to mobile wallets and cash pick-up vouchers.
Airtime top-up (Discontinued)
Covering the delivery of airtime to mobile subscribers.

Log and commit

Both types of transactions follow a log and commit structure, allowing you to post the transaction and then commit it later.

Before logging the transaction, we also give you the option to validate the account you are sending to ensure that they can receive the funds.
